Just after loosing our 10 year old rescue dog, we knew we had to find another brother/sister for our 8 year old English springer spaniel.  We were very fortunate to find puppies for sale on the Willowbrook Spaniels website.

It was a hard choice in choosing between 2 puppies both 14 weeks old.   If we could have, we would have taken both of them home with us.  It was a very hard decision, but we traveled back home to NY with Miss “Tia”.

We love Tia, and it’s been 14 months since we brought her home and she has become the “Queen” of the house.  She’s very smart and has all the traits of her mother, Gabby, who is”very outgoing and loves everybody” as well as her father, Romeo, who has “boundless energy and is the life of the party”.

Lisa and her family were wonderful and they certainly show a lot of pride, love and affection towards all of their dogs.

Many thanks to the Miller family.

Following a couple of telephone conversations with Lisa the first meeting in 2019 confirmed our initial impression that Lisa is a very knowledgeable and reputable breeder and her assistance in selecting a puppy suited to our requirements was invaluable. Although we had just met Lisa, it immediately felt as though we had known her for years. Her forte is assisting adopting puppy parents throughout the selection process. Zoe, the female puppy we selected made the ride home with us that day three years ago.

Fast forward to June 2022, we reestablished contact with Lisa and placed a deposit on a male puppy to be selected. We made the 10-hour roundtrip to Willowbrook and although it had been three years since we had seen Lisa, it was as if it had just been a few weeks ago. Having decided that we wanted to adopt a male puppy, we chose “Flint” who we renamed Boomer for two reasons: he was a robust tri-colored male puppy and Sandra and I both are “baby boomers.”

It only took Zoe a few days in her new forever home for us to notice that see was a very loving puppy, attentive and highly intelligent. These traits have amplified during her first three years. Boomer, although somewhat more assertive, he already displays the same traits. Zoe and Boomer are not just pets, they have become an integral part of our family. In closing, I have owned German Shorthaired Pointers and English setters, all fine dogs but as English Springer Spaniels,  Zoe and Boomer have captured our hearts—thanks to Lisa!
